This question was addressed quite awhile back because I have the ultrasound
mouser deterrants myself. They don't have any affect on my ferrets and I've
had the ultasound before the ferrets moved in. Of course, I don't think it
has any affect on the mice either. Every fall they start moving back in and
this year was no different. I found my cat playing with a dead one in the
living room, where the ferrets were playing and they had no interest at all
in the mouse. The same cat sits in front of my kitchen sink, just
listening to sounds I imagine under the cupboards and the ferrets have the
run of the kitchen but have never come up with a mouse yet. I have ferret
proofed the cupboards since they were getting under them and running the
whole length of them and I couldn't get them out. I'm guessing that the
mice are getting in there and I would have thought that the ferrets would
have made them go elsewhere but I thought that with the cats too. Stupid
me... So in answer to your questions Alex, I think it depends on your
ferret. Enjoy him and get him a playmate soon!
