Our almost 5 year old Bacchus is starting to develop a bald spot on his
lower back. What does this mean? Is it normal for a ferret of his age?
Does it imply a dietary deficiency? He is in otherwise good health, with
good appetite and plenty of exercise. - CW

Chas,

Could be a variety of things. The first two that come to mind are
stress or possibly early symptom of adrenal disease. Not an immediate
threat to life and limb but should definately be checked by a vet.
